Nancy is a speaker at conferences internationally and is currently studying at Covenant Theological Seminary, Missouri (USA). She co-hosts the Grief Share video series used in over 8,500 churches, hosts Respite Retreats (families affected by the death of a child), and is the author of 14 books.
Nancy and her husband, David, have faced the deaths of two of their three children, a daughter, Hope, in 1999, and a son, Gabriel, in 2001, both of whom were born with a rare genetic disorder called Zellweger Syndrome. Nancy offered many of the lessons she learned from this sorrowful experience in her 2002 book, Holding On to Hope: A Pathway of Suffering to the Heart of God. Michael Raiter is an internationally recognised speaker, and is currently the Director of the Centre for Biblical Preaching, an organisation that seeks to train and equip churches around the globe in expository preaching.
Born in Liverpool, England and raised in New South Wales, Australia, Mike began his career as a high school teacher in Sydney and Pakistan. He studied at Moore Theological College in Sydney, becoming the head of the Department of Missions in 1997. After graduating, he returned to Pakistan and taught at the Zarephath Bible Institute, and worked at the Church Missionary Society Australia and Interserve in Pakistan. From 2006–2011, Mike served as the principal of the Melbourne School of Theology, an evangelical theological college.
Mike is also the author of a number of books, including Stirrings of the Soul: Evangelicals and the New Spirituality, which won the 2004 SPCK Australian Christian Book of the Year Award.
