ONELOVE IS FOR YOU.
OneLove is a one-day event for all women to gather together under life changing preaching and enjoy fantastic fellowship. Whether you have been a Christian for many years or are still seeking answers about God, join us on August 31 and be encouraged, refreshed and renewed for the journey ahead.
This year we're excited to have Bible teacher Lizzy Smallwood open up the book of Hebrews to encourage us that there is purpose in our perseverance, and Anne-Sophie Rowcroft will share with us from her experiences as a missionary in West Africa.

Lizzy Smallwood is married to Simon. They have three children - Sam (21), Ailie (18) and Beatrice (9). They have been ministering at St. George's - a small urban Anglican Church in Dagenham on the East London border for 23 years, and are just about to move to Cornwall. Lizzy divides her time between being a wife and mum, a part time primary school teacher and helping out in and around the local church.
Lizzy loves music, film and wandering round the shops. Her favourite way to relax is with a cup of tea and a good book.
Lizzy is never happier than when she is teaching women the Bible and is excited by opportunities like OneLove to preach and apply God's word to Christian women seeking to follow Christ in the 21st Century.
Dr Anne-Sophie Rowcroft has been working in Niger, West Africa, for the past six years, primarily among the Hausa people group. The Hausa of Niger represent over 10 million people, and only 2% are Christian.
Anne-Sophie works as the Chief Medical Officer and the Head of Maternity at SIM’s Galmi hospital, where a couple of hundred people seek services each day - many of whom have never heard of Jesus. Their mission is to glorify the name of Jesus Christ by demonstrating the love of God through physical and spiritual healing, proclaiming the gospel and making disciples. Part of her role is to keep a diverse team united around this mission.
PURPOSE IN THE PATH
The Christian path is not always straight. Sometimes the path before us is smooth and easy, but at other times it can be winding and uphill. As Christian women we are called to endure and persevere with our eyes fixed on Jesus, but this isn't always an easy task.
How can we endure and persevere through trials with joy?
What is the ultimate goal of our perseverance?
Is persevering really worth the effort?
Join us at OneLove 2019 as we
re-discover the joy of
perseverance from the book
Our day at OneLove runs from 10am - 4pm, but doors will open from 9.30am so you can pick up a coffee in the Lower Town Hall and get settled in.
Our lunch break will be at 12.30pm, and there will be plenty of time for you to enjoy all that the city has to offer with your group. Book ahead somewhere special for the day, or pack a lunch to eat in Hyde Park (we'll also have lunch seating, coffee, books and music available in Lower Town Hall!)
A change in format in 2019 + an opportunity to give!
This year we're excited to be holding OneLove in the central location of the beautiful Sydney Town Hall. We can’t wait to enjoy the character and convenience that this historic site holds. This iconic building does however provide us with some logistical challenges. Unfortunately, our traditionally held afternoon high tea simply won’t work in the space available. While disappointing, this does provide OneLove delegates with some new and exciting opportunities for fellowship and giving.
With the money previously allocated to providing the afternoon tea, we have the opportunity to bless some of our rural sisters in Christ at a time of particular hardship in country NSW.
We are currently in discussions with regional churches in some drought-stricken communities of NSW – the devastations of the drought have left these brothers and sisters in desperate need. The money that we can give them will be used to buy vouchers from local small businesses for necessities like groceries, fuel, and repair services, that the church can then distribute to needy families within their local communities who are currently suffering from economic hardship.
We hope that you will pray with us that in making this change to the OneLove format this year, it will enable a real and concrete blessing to those in need and provide an opportunity for these churches to reach out to their communities for Christ.
